Session Fees

Cost

My fees are based on industry standards as established by various regulatory bodies. Whether our session takes place in my office, outdoors, via telephone or videoconferencing my standard fee for a 50 minute session, is $140 total.

If finances pose a barrier to your ability to access services, I invite you to contact me regarding sliding scale fees.

Payment

Payment is due at the end of each session. I am able to accept payment in the form of cash, paypal or EMT.

Cancellation Policy

If it is necessary to cancel an appointment, I require 24 hours notice. If this notice is not given, half of the session fee will be charged.

Insurance Coverage

Some insurance providers cover the services of registered social workers (RSWs) within extended benefits packages. If you have benefits, I suggest taking a look to see if your policy would cover my services. Be sure to look at the details of what the coverage provides. Social Workers are also commonly utilized by employers Employee Assistance Programs (EAPs). If I am not included on the list of available practitioners through your employer, I would be happy to contact them to request to be added to their list in order to provide you with my services through their program.

Did you know?

As a registered social worker, I am recognized as a ‘medical practitioner’ under the income tax act. This means that the cost of my services can be claimed on your income tax returns, persuant to the Medical Expense Tax Credit (METC).  More information regarding the inclusion of clinical social work services within the METC can be found here, with information more generally about this tax credit available here.
